Collaboration and coordination between you and those who matter to you can be made easier with Skype’s capabilities. As part of our efforts to help you stay on top of your conversations, we’ve supercharged Skype with new features. These Skype features can help you accomplish more:
- @mentions – Type the @ symbol followed by the name of someone to get their attention in a group chat. A notification will be sent to them.
- Notification panel – Centrally view your replies, @mentions, and quotes in group conversations. Your contacts and chats can be accessed via the notification panel by clicking the bell icon next to them.
- Share photos, videos, and other files – With Drag & Drop or by selecting a file type near the chat text box, you can send up to 300 MB at a time.
- Chat media gallery – I sent you a link a few weeks ago, can you find it? The chat gallery makes it easy to find shared content. You can even sort media, links, and files by type by clicking Gallery.
Personalized experience
You now have more control over how Skype appears and how your contacts see you in the latest version of Skype. These features allow you to customize your Skype experience:
- Customizable themes – Through your application settings, you can customize the color and theme of your Skype client.
- Flexible group calls – Choose who appears in the main call view and customize your group call experience. Select contacts from the overflow ribbon and the main call view by dragging and dropping them between them.
