Hand off interpreting to the next interpreter in Webex Meetings and Webex Webinars
As an interpreter, you have to be very focused and dedicated to the job. It is possible that multiple interpreters will be assigned to the language of your choice by the host if a meeting or webinar is expected to take longer than 30 minutes. Your interpreters can take turns during your audio channel to provide high quality interpretation so that you will be able to maintain an high level of quality interpretation for your attendees.
During the meeting, the interpreters for your assigned languages get moved to the same audio channel, so that both the interpreters and the original audio of the meeting are audible simultaneously. It is crucial to ensure a smooth transition for attendees at the end of the event when it comes time for the next interpreter to begin his/her work.
In the pre-assignment of interpreters, the host determines in which order they will be assigned. Besides managing the order of the meeting, the host can also ensure that the meeting runs smoothly. The interpreter can hand off to interpreter 2, then to interpreter 3, then back to interpreter 1, and so on.
