Host and co-host controls in a meeting in zoom App
Controls for the host allow you to manage the participants and other aspects of the Zoom meeting.
As a co-host, the user can share hosting privileges with another user, enabling the co-host to operate the administrative side of the meeting to the extent necessary, such as managing participants or stopping/starting the recording. Each meeting must be assigned a co-host. Whether you are running a meeting or hosting a webinar, there is no limit to the number of co-hosts you can have.
Co-hosts are not able to access the following controls, which are only available for the host during a meeting and cannot be used by the co-hosts:
- The captioning process needs to be started and a third-party needs to be assigned to provide the captioning
- For the live stream
- That will be available for all participants at the end of the meeting
- Invite a second participant to co-host the meeting
- Establish a waiting room (co-hosts have the option of placing the participants in the waiting room or removing the participants as needed)
Meetings cannot also be started by co-hosts. Hosts can assign an alternate host to start the meeting if they need someone else to be able to do so.
Prerequisites for using host or co-host controls
- Obtain permission from the host to attend the meeting, or from the co-host to attend.
