Can I move my Microsoft 365 Skype minutes to a different Skype account?
Unfortunately, you will not be able to move your subscription to another Skype account if you already have one. Skype subscriptions are linked to the Microsoft 365 account that was used to purchase the product.
How do I check how many minutes I have left?
It’s just a matter of logging into your Skype account. Throughout the subscriptions section of the website, under Skype minutes for Office, you will be able to see how many minutes you have used and how many minutes you have left.
Which Microsoft 365 accounts is the Skype minutes subscription available with?
Microsoft 365 Family and Microsoft 365 Personal accounts are the only ones that are able to subscribe to Skype minutes. A Microsoft 365 Education account or a Microsoft 365 Business account does not include this feature.
Will the Skype minutes subscription work with my existing Skype subscription?
Yes. The following are the ways in which Skype lets you take advantage of all your subscriptions:
- By plan type – when it comes to subscriptions, unlimited subscriptions are used first and restricted ones are used afterwards.
- By expiry date – The subscription minutes that have the closest expiration date will be used first.
What countries can I make calls from and to with my Skype minutes?
With Skype minutes, you can make calls to over 60 countries.
It is important to note that the subscription does not cover calls to non-geographic or special numbers. As a result, Skype should not be used as a replacement for your telephone and should not be used in case of an emergency. In most countries in the world, Skype minutes can be used to make calls, except the following: Algeria, Bahrain, China, Egypt, India, Korea, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Namibia, Pakistan, Qatar, Taiwan, Tunisia and the United Arab Emirates.
