How do I assign Skype Numbers to members in Skype Manager™?

Throughout this FAQ, you will find detailed instructions on assigning Skype Numbers to your members, reallocating Skype Numbers, and cancelling Skype Numbers that you have assigned to your members.

Assigning Skype Numbers

Any Skype user can have a Skype Number assigned to them.

A Skype Number can be assigned to a member or SIP profile in the following way:

1. The Skype Manager can be accessed by signing in.

2. You will find the Features toolbar on the left side of the screen.

3. To access the Skype Numbers page, click on the Skype Numbers menu item on the left side of the screen.

4. To assign Skype numbers, click the Allocate Skype Numbers button.

5. You will be able to allocate Skype Numbers to each member of your group by checking the box next to them. The Allocate Skype Numbers button appears automatically when you select a member and click on it.

6. The Buy Skype Number page will appear once you click the Allocate Skype Numbers button.

7. In order to create a Skype Number, you need to select a country and then click on Continue.

8. If you want to use a Skype Number with a specific area code, you can specify how you would like your charges to be applied.

9. Please click on the Buy Now button to get started.

Once the Skype Numbers have been assigned, they will be displayed on the Skype website. Your Skype Numbers will be shown in Skype Manager, but it may take a few minutes before your members are able to use the Skype Numbers.

Reallocating a Skype Number

A Skype Number can be reallocated from one member to another or to an SIP Profile by following the steps below:

1. The Skype Manager can be accessed by signing in.

2. You will find the Features toolbar on the left side of the screen.

3. The Skype Numbers page can be accessed by clicking the Features menu on the left side of the screen.

4. If you would like to reassign the Skype Number displayed in the row of the Skype account, click in the row.

5. To reallocate the number, click on the button.

6. Using the field provided in the next step, you will need to enter the name of the member to whom you wish to assign the Skype number, then click the Confirm button.

Upon reassignment to the specified member or SIP profile, the Skype Number will be reassigned.

A Skype Number can be reassigned so long as you ensure that the reallocation is carried out in accordance with the terms on which the Skype Number was purchased as well as the terms on which you agreed to reassign it.

Cancelling Skype Numbers

There are two ways to cancel a member’s Skype Number:

1. Go to Skype Manager and sign in to your account.

2. Then click on the Features button in the toolbar.

3. The Skype Numbers page can be accessed by clicking the Features menu on the left side of the screen.

4. If you wish to cancel Skype Numbers for any of your members, please check the box next to each member’s name.

5. In the Cancel Numbers window, click the Cancel button. There are specified dates on which each member’s Skype Number will expire, so please keep this in mind. We will not be incurring any further costs as a result of this.
