Workarounds
In order to use a loopback tool to record audio, follow these steps:
Prerequisites:
-
Your computer should be equipped with a softphone you can use. Using a softphone such as Cisco Jabber, as an example, is a good example.
-
VB Audio Driver or Loopback are two audio loopback tools that you can use
-
An audio player that plays music you are allowed to play in front of your audience, and that you own the rights to.
To play music in your events:
-
If you have installed the Softphone on your computer, you can connect to the audio of the Webex event once you have started the Webex event.
-
Make sure that the audio loopback tool is selected from the softphone’s microphone options.
-
Use a music player to play the audio file.
With the loopback tool, the softphone mic will be able to receive the music playing on your music player and play it back out to you.
There should now be an option for the softphone to appear in your event as a participant. Using your music player, you will be able to start/stop the music, mute/unmute the user, or stop playing the music at any time in order to control your music.
Using a DynaMetric Box:
-
As part of the setup of the DynaMetric box, the panelist should have a computer and a phone. If you wish to record the session in a WRF format, you can use the same computer that will be used to record the sessions in WRF format.
-
As soon as the DynaMetric box is set up, be sure that the headset jack of the computer is plugged into the headset jack of the DynaMetric box.
-
Creating a dynamic box is the first step.
-
-
When prompted, just enter the number (no matter the number of people in the conference) when you are prompted. This will place you in the Sub-conference where all participants are waiting for you.
-
By unmuting this line, the hold music will begin to play and will be played until the line is muted again.
-
After launching Windows Media Player, the Panelist starts the appropriate play list by selecting it from a list of options. All attendees will be able to hear the music again when the music is pushed back into the integrated teleconference.
-
Using a second phone line, enter your Attendee ID which appears on screen to dial into the Practice Session conference as a panelist in order to join the session.
