How to Create a teams from scratch in Microsoft Teams

When you create a Microsoft 365 team or group for the first time, you have a clean slate to work with, and you can choose which way to set up and organize the team.
With the creation of your team, you will also receive complimentary access to the Microsoft 365 group, which has all the features of office 365, including an Outlook inbox and calendar for each member of the team, a SharePoint site, and a OneNote account.
Create a team from scratch:
- Choose Teams on the left side of the app, then select Join or create a team at the bottom of your teams list.
- Choose Create a team from the card that appears when you hover your mouse over it.
- From scratch is the option that you should choose.
- It is up to you to decide what kind of team you are going to create, depending on your goals. For instance:
When you select the Private option, you will be able to restrict the content and conversation to just those individuals within your specified group of friends.
Choosing Public as the setting will allow all employees in your organization to be able to join the community.
- Please provide a name and a description for your team, if you wish.
- Once you have completed the form, select the Create button.
What to do next
Since you are the one who created the team, you are the owner of the team. Create some channels for your team and invite your friends to join it. You can read more about the capabilities of team owners, members, and guests inside Teams, to get a deeper understanding of what they can do.
The number of teams you can own per account is 250, so feel free to create more teams.
