How to Delete a channel in Microsoft Teams

Channels can be deleted or restored by team owners based on which members of their team are allowed to do this.
When you want to delete a channel, you need to go to the channel name and click More options Delete this channel from the menu.
It is also important to note that at the same time you delete a channel, all the conversations that have taken place within that channel will also be lost as soon as the channel is deleted. The OneNote sections related to that channel, however, will still be available on the SharePoint site for your team members to access, even if they haven’t yet acquired that channel.

You can delete a channel from the desktop app or the web app.
Android
Tap Teams, choose a team by clicking on its name, and then select Manage Channels under that team’s name under More choices. In the More options drop down menu, you will find a drop down menu next to the channel name, where you will be able to choose Delete channel.
In the event that you want to delete a channel, please keep in mind that, if you delete the channel along with all the conversations associated with it, you will also lose all the conversations associated with it. Even if the OneNote sections that are associated with the channel are not stored in the channel, your team’s SharePoint site will still show the sections that are associated with the channel on your team’s SharePoint site.
