When you no longer need a chat or a message, you can hide it in Microsoft Teams.
Hide, search, or unhide a chat
- You can hide a chat by selecting More options (…) > Hide on the chat that you want to hide.As long as no new messages are posted in the chat, it will remain hidden.
- If you want to find a hidden chat, type a word or phrase into the Search field.
- Select More options (…) > Unhide from the restored chat to unhide it.
Mute or unmute a chat
- During a chat, you can choose More options (…) > Mute if you wish to muffle a chat.
- Unmuting a chat is as simple as selecting More options (…) > Unmute from the chat menu.
Delete a message in a chat
- You can delete a message by selecting it > More options (…) > Delete.
Note: Any chat participant will see that you have deleted a message that you have sent.
