Before a meeting
It may be quite convenient to find and invite people from your Teams calendar by using the Add required attendees or Add optional attendees containers when you schedule or edit a meeting. When you use the Add required attendees or the Add optional attendees boxes when you are scheduling or editing a meeting, you can easily do so. The scheduling assistant can be used to see when each of your colleagues will be free in the future if you want to use it in this way. See the Scheduling a meeting section for more information.
The Teams meeting can also be scheduled from Outlook and people can be invited to the meeting. In order to schedule a Teams meeting from Outlook, you need to know the steps you need to follow.
During a meeting
You can show the participants in a meeting by selecting the Show participants option. If you want to see who has been invited to your meeting but has not yet joined, then check your meeting controls.
You can ask someone to join a meeting by pointing to their name on the list of attendees and selecting Invite to join.
The search box can also be used to add someone who has not yet been invited to join the group, by typing their name or the phone number in the search box.
Note: The Teams meeting enables up to 1,000 invited participants to interact with one another through audio, video, and chat during the meeting. When guests receive an invitation to a meeting that has already been marked by the meeting organizer as “view-only,” they may also join this meeting even if it has already been marked by the organizer as “view-only.”
