The Shifts feature in Microsoft Teams allows you to manage and view the schedule of your team members.

View a schedule

  1. When you want to change the view of the calendar, you can do the following:
    • Make sure that the shifts do not conflict with each other by selecting the day.
      • Adding Day notes to a team member’s shift will allow you to share a message with them on the day of their shift. Select the day you would like to send the message on, and then write your message.
    • Choose Week to get a quick overview of everyone’s hours for that week.
    • If you wish to view or schedule shifts on a monthly or bimonthly basis, please select the Month option.
  2. Select View > Shift if you want to see your schedule according to the kind of shift you have.
    • The availability of everyone can be viewed by selecting People.
    • Ensure that there is enough coverage for the shifts you need to cover by selecting Shifts.

Manage requests

  1. In the Requests menu, select Requests from your team to review requests such as time off requests, shift swap requests, or job offers.
