A couple of different ways are available to you in Teams in terms of combining (or merging) calls.
Make a new call and merge it with an existing call
There will be times when you might decide that you would like to ask someone else a question while you are on a call (or a group call).
In the meantime, you are still on the first call, so you can make another call. You can merge the second call with the first call once it connects so you can connect the two calls together.
Note: You will be notified when making another call that the first call has been placed on hold. Alternatively, if you want to take this action before making another call, you can go to the call controls and select More actions > Hold in the call controls.
When the second call is connected at this level, select More actions > Call Merge from the call control menu. Once the second call has been connected, select the option to merge the two calls.
The possibility exists that both you and another person may be on a Skype call at the same time in Teams, and you may decide you wish to merge the new call with the one you’re on now, and vice versa.
Your other call will automatically be put on hold once you accept the new call. By doing this, you will stop receiving calls. After you have made the new call, you now have the option of merging it with the first call you made.
Select More actions > Call merge from the call controls on the right side of the screen.
Notes:
The call merging feature is not applicable to calls that are made by a boss and a delegate on the same shared line.
Only the Teams Desktop client is able to support the call merging feature.
It is also possible to combine a new call with an existing call by using the DTMF keypad in order to reach the target user, then use the merge call option to combine it with an existing call or with a group call. You can also combine a call with an existing call in order to reach a target user.
For Teams Meetings, the feature of merging calls is not available at this time.
Using the same Microsoft Teams account, you can join two simultaneous meetings on different devices at the same time on Microsoft Teams. From just one device, you are able to share your screen between two meetings at the same time by joining both meetings at the same time.
