How to Produce using in Microsoft Teams
Producer capabilities
A team live event offers event producers a variety of options:
- With Teams, you can produce a live event, invite remote presenters, and share your screen.
- An external app or device can be used to produce an event with a production crew. Microsoft Stream powers this method.
Depending on how you produce, your producer’s capabilities may vary: Warning: Once you stop the live event, you can’t restart it! The instructions below will guide you through the process of producing an event within Teams. See Best practices for producing a Teams live event for more details on setting up an event. Notes: Notes: You can share a desktop or window in Teams if you’re producing an event: In the call monitor window, click Stop sharing to stop sharing the desktop or window. Co-presenters can be invited to the live event to share their desktops or windows, which can be queued for streaming into the event as a best practice. As a result, your attendees will not see Teams (and your queue). You will need other presenters to join the event in order to queue another video feed. On your screen, you will see their feeds. Notes: As a producer, you can restart a live event while the event is active, or after you have ended it. Using Teams on the web or Teams on the desktop is the only way to restart your live event. A restart of the event will then be verified by the teams. It will be possible for Teams to successfully restart your live event, with the producers and presenters being disconnected from the event, and attendees watching the event will see a screen indicating that the event will begin soon. There will be a need for producers and presenters to rejoin the event and begin from scratch. As you are producing a live event, select Health & Performance on your dashboard and you will be able to see the performance of your devices.
