In Teams, the first tab you will see when you go to any of the channels is the Posts tab. Posts can be thought of as a large group conversation that everyone can join.
The Posts tab on the channel can be accessed by anyone who has access to the channel.
It is also important to keep in mind that replies to messages in a channel remain attached to the original message as well as the original message itself. As a result, anyone who reads the conversation will be able to quickly follow along with all the threads of the conversation. Having threaded conversations is one of the best things about them.
Click on the little Reply link underneath a channel message to reply to the message you have just seen.
The New conversation button is located at the lower left corner of the Posts tab on the channel, which can be used to create new conversations within the channel.
Note: According to the channel settings, it is possible for the New conversation button to be inactive (grayed out). New conversations can only be created by channel moderators in this case.
The compose box is displayed when you click on one of the options to reply to an existing message thread or start a new dialog so that you can type and format your message. In either case, the message will be sent to all participants in a particular channel (the whole team as a whole).
As soon as you have finished writing your message, click on Send. The message you sent has now been posted to the channel.
Note:Check out Start a chat in Teams if you’d like to talk to just one person or a small group.
Select New chat. Start a new conversation at the top of the app.
At the top of your new chat, type the name or names you wish to contact.
Fill in the message box at the bottom of the chat. The formatting options will appear when you select Format. Under the box.
