How to Send code snippets in a message in Microsoft Teams
In a channel message or chat, send a code snippet:
- Under the message box, click Format.
- Select More options in the upper-right corner.
- Open the dialog box by selecting the Code snippet.
- The code and the title for the snippet should be entered in the dialog box. Check the wrap text box, then select the language from the pull-down menu.
- The snippet will be added to your message if you select Cancel or Insert.
Code can be written in any way you like with syntax highlighting and auto-indentation. The recipient can view your snippet inline with syntax highlighting when you send it as a card in the message.
When you have sent your code snippet, you can edit it by selecting More options > Edit, and then Edit again on the code snippet card.
