How to set your iPad into “Supervised Mode” in zoom App
A device in “Supervised Mode” can be managed remotely.
Instructions
- Apple Configurator 2 is available for download from the App Store.
- Please use a USB cable in order to connect your iPad to the computer. When your iPad prompts you to select Trust, be sure to do so.
- Disable Find My iPad (Settings > Apple ID > iCloud).
- Open Apple Configurator 2. Click the Prepare icon.
- With Manual Configuration, select Allow other computers to pair with this device, and then select Supervise device
- When you are enrolled in an MDM, you can select a server. If you are not enrolled in an MDM, you can select Do not enroll. The purpose of this process is to enable your device to be supervised, not to enroll you in Zoom’s Mobile Device Management
- Feature If you have not created an organization yet, you can do so now
- Setup Assistant lets you choose which steps the user should be presented with in order to setup your computer. By default, the entire setup process is displayed to the user.
- It is very simple to set your iPad into “Supervised Mode” by manually following the Setup Assistant instructions. Navigate to Settings and confirm that the iPad is in supervised mode.
