Chats and conversations can be shared with Outlook without needing to leave Teams, by channeling chats.
Note:In order to use Outlook on the Web, you must have Outlook on the Web enabled on your computer. In Teams, the option to Share to Outlook will not show up if it’s turned off.
Share a chat from Teams to Outlook
A copy of a chat in Teams can be sent as an email to a recipient from within Outlook when you share it from within Teams.
The Share to Outlook option can be selected under More options by clicking on More options.
Select the recipient or recipients you would like to send the message to. The message can also be customized with familiar email options like adding attachments or adding a personal message.
After you have prepared your chat for sharing, you can click the Send button on the toolbar to send it to someone else.
Share a channel conversation from Teams to Outlook
As an option within Teams, you can also share the entire conversation within a channel as an email to Outlook as well.
The option to share a message with Outlook can be accessed by clicking More options in a message.
Make sure you choose the right recipient(s) for your message. The subject line can also be edited, a custom option is available, and attachments can be added as well.
If you would like to share the conversation in your channel, click the Send button. This will send the entire history of all the conversations that have taken place.
Note: The Share to Outlook option is not currently available on mobile, and you may have to tell us if we should make it available on mobile.
If you want to change the default settings in Outlook, you should select the File tab, and then select the Options option that is found under that tab. It is possible to install new add-ins to Outlook when you are in the Outlook Options dialog box by clicking on the Add-ins menu item at the top of the dialog box. If there is an Active Application that you want to add the Microsoft Teams Meeting Add-in to, then you may need to check to make sure that the Microsoft Teams Meeting Add-in appears in the list of Add-ins for the Active Application before adding it as a component.
How do I link Microsoft Teams to email?

Once you have selected the “Off” option next to the row for the “Missed activity emails” from the MS Teams emails and calendars, you can select the “Never send me notifications about missed activity” option if you do not wish to receive these notifications from MS Teams. Once the meeting has been initiated (Off) or muted (Mute), you can choose to turn off these notifications by clicking on the “Edit” button below the “Meetings” row, and then once these messages have been turned off, click on the “Ignore” button under the “Meetings” row once the meeting has been initiated (Off) or muted (Mute).
Can you send an email from Teams?
The subject line in the email should always include the email address of the channel when you are responding to an email sent to a channel in Teams. If the email is sent to the channel members and becomes part of the channel, it can be replied to by any member of the channel.
How do I share an email from a team meeting?
