How to Use suggested replies to respond to messages in Microsoft Teams
Desktop
Occasionally, you may be asked to confirm or reply to an incoming message in Teams in just a few seconds. The easiest way to reply to this message is to pick a suggestion that appears above the box in which you type your message.
The suggested replies you see in Teams are continually improved using a machine learning model that Teams employs. Depending on your organization’s needs, this model can run on the same systems that are used to deliver Microsoft 365 services to you. There is no transmission or storage of message content outside of your organization.
Conversations made easier with suggested replies
The suggested replies feature is enabled by default. A suggested reply will appear after a few messages are sent in a row. The suggested reply is sent immediately after being selected.
Turn off suggested replies
The suggested replies can be turned off by making use of Settings and more > Settings > General, scrolling down to Suggested replies and untick the box that says Show suggested replies in chat.
A quick confirmation or routine reply is all that is needed for some incoming messages in Teams. Select a suggested reply above the box where you type your response instead of typing it yourself. You can send a suggested reply immediately by tapping it. As a default, suggestions for replies are enabled. It is possible to turn off suggested replies by going to Settings > Messaging and then switching off the toggle right next to it. Shortcut: Ctrl + Shift + I Mark your message as important with this shortcut. Mobile
