How to use Zoom for Chrome PWA
A platform like Zoom combines cloud-based video conferencing with simple online meetings in one platform that is easy to use and use. Across multiple platforms, our solution offers the best video, audio, and wireless screen-sharing experiences for video, audio, and wireless screen-sharing. You can use some of the same Zoom features within the Chrome web browser with Zoom for Chrome PWA (Progressive Web App).

Note: As support for ChromeOS apps is being phased out by November 5, 2022, the Zoom for Chrome PWA is intended to replace it. It is strongly recommended that administrators begin migrating users from the ChromeOS app to Zoom for Chrome PWA as soon as possible.
Prerequisites
- Chrome extension Zoom (available on Google Play)
Sign in and join
Click Join Meeting to join a meeting without signing in after installing and launching Zoom for Chrome PWA. You can start or schedule a meeting by clicking Sign In.
To sign in, you will need to use either your Zoom, Apple, Google, Facebook, or SSO credentials to sign in. Reset your password if you are not able to remember your Zoom password if you have a Zoom account.
Home
When you sign in, you will see the Home tab, which includes the following options:
- New Meeting: Instant meetings can be started.
- Join: Be a part of a meeting that is already in progress.
- Schedule: To schedule a meeting, open a new tab.
Contacts
View and manage your contacts by selecting the Contacts tab. In addition to your contacts and user groups, a list of Zoom Rooms will also be displayed if your organization uses them.
View a contact’s profile and video meeting options by clicking on their name.
In-meeting controls
In the Zoom window, move your mouse over the meeting controls to display them after you have started or joined a meeting.
Learn more about host, co-host, and attendee controls. It is also possible to join a test meeting before joining a scheduled meeting in order to become familiar with meeting controls.
Settings
In a meeting or webinar, you can access your settings by clicking More in the meeting controls, then clicking Settings. Find out what settings are available in the PWA.
