How to Use Zoom for Microsoft Teams
The Zoom Chat, Zoom Meetings, and Zoom Phone features can now be accessed from within Microsoft Teams allowing users to utilize Zoom chat, Zoom Meetings, and Zoom Phone features as needed. Microsoft Teams displays the integration as the following in the integration panel:
It is necessary to have an account with Microsoft Teams (Zoom Phone is integrated with Zoom accounts with Zoom Phone plans) Log in with your Zoom email account, your SSO account, or your Google account The integration of Microsoft Teams with the Zoom App Marketplace has been pre-approved by Zoom If you would like to use Zoom Phone or Azure Active Directory for configuring the phone numbers, it is required that the administrators configure them You will need to sign in with your Zoom account in order to access the Zoom App Marketplace. For finding the Microsoft Teams app, you can enter the name of the app in the search box at the top right of your screen. Click on the Microsoft Teams app from the search results that appear in your browser. The next step is to click on the Add button next to the Microsoft Teams app. Please confirm that the app requires the permissions you are requesting, then click on Authorize. Select Add to a team from the drop-down menu in the Microsoft Teams account. The name of the channel to be used for the integration of Zoom Meetings needs to be entered here. In the bot setup window, click Create a bot. Once you have completed these steps, your Microsoft Teams account will be integrated with your Microsoft account. All of the integration features can be accessed by following the steps below: There is a requirement that Microsoft Teams administrators configure the permissions on behalf of their members so they can use the Microsoft Teams app to access their Outlook contacts list. You will need to sign in as the administrator of your Zoom account in order to access the Zoom App Marketplace. Then click the Manage button. In order to configure Microsoft Teams, select the app and then click Configure. Once you have clicked Authorize, the process will begin. If you do not have a Microsoft Teams account already, you should create one as soon as possible. If you would like to accept these permissions on behalf of your organization, please select Consent. You will need to sign in as the administrator of your Zoom account in order to access the Zoom App Marketplace. Then click the Manage button. In the Microsoft Teams app, select the Configure option and then click OK. Then click the Enable button. You can do this by logging into your Microsoft Teams account by clicking here. If you are representing your organization, select Consent. If you wish to turn on or off this setting, click the toggle next to Phone. The changes can be confirmed by clicking Enable or Disable. The whiteboard feature is enabled by default, however, it is possible to toggle it on or off so that it can be enabled or disabled at any time. You will need to sign in as the administrator of your Zoom account in order to access the Zoom App Marketplace. You can manage your account by clicking Manage. In the Microsoft Teams app, select the Configure option and then click OK. Then click the Enable button. Ensure that you are logged in to your Microsoft Teams account. If you are representing your organization, select Consent. You can toggle the setting on and off by clicking the toggle next to Whiteboard. To confirm that the changes have been made, click Enable or Disable. In order to integrate all of the features available in the platform, you must follow the following steps: Make sure you are logged in as an administrator of Microsoft Teams. Once you have accessed Teams Apps, you will be able to manage your apps. Zoom can be found by searching for it. The Zoom app needs to be set to Allowed in the settings. Policies related to Access Permissions are available here. Make sure that Third-party apps are set to Allow all apps in Third-party apps. Ensure you are logged in as an administrator with the privilege of editing account settings in the Zoom web portal. The Account Settings can be found in the Account Management section of the navigation menu. There is a tab called Zoom Phone that you need to click on. It is possible to disable the Automatically Call From 3rd Party Apps feature by clicking the toggle on the Automatically Call From 3rd Party Apps page if you do not want it enabled. The Zoom Phone tab can be found by navigating to the Zoom Phone section. Log in to your Zoom and Teams accounts and grant access to them. You can check the box to confirm that your organization consents to the changes. When you were managing permissions in the previous section, you were asked to enable Consent on behalf of your organization, which had not been enabled at the time. Ensure that you are logged in as the administrator for your Microsoft account in order to access the Microsoft Teams admin center. To manage apps in Teams, click on the Teams apps tab. Zoom can be found by searching on Google. Zoom in or out by clicking here To access the permissions tab, select the Permissions button. In order to have all Zoom users see the Zoom app when they sign in, you can pin the Zoom app to the left toolbar of your browser. Click on Setup policies and then click on Add apps to begin. The search box in the left hand side of the page allows you to search for Zoom. You can pin it by selecting it. You can schedule or start a Zoom meeting with anyone else in your organization that has the Zoom app installed on their device using the Zoom tab at the top of your page, providing that they have the Zoom app installed on their device as well. You can view all of your upcoming meetings or meetings to which you have been invited on the My Meetings page. The meeting invitation can be copied, as well as joining meetings, deleting meetings, or deleting the meeting. Clicking on the call icon when hovering over a number in the calling history will allow you to redial that number. Zoom Meetings bot can be used to access a channel. You can log out of Zoom by typing @Zoom logout. You can type @Zoom in the address bar. Zoom Meetings Bot can be selected from the list. The help command can be used at any time to see all commands that are available. You can start a meeting by typing @Zoom to start a meeting instantly. Select Zoom Meetings from the list of options and press the start button. You can join by clicking the button below. You will need to type @Zoom. You will need to select Zoom Meetings from the list. In the start box, type the name of the topic you wish to discuss. You can join by clicking the button below. You can type @Zoom in the address bar. By selecting Zoom Meetings’ bot and typing join followed by the meeting ID, you will be able to join a Zoom Meeting. You can join by clicking the button below. Immediately following the end of the meeting, the BOT posts a summary of the meeting and a link to the recording if it was recorded in the cloud. It is possible to share Zoom Whiteboards in Teams by following these steps: Chat or create a channel on the website. There is an icon on the right of the screen that says whiteboard. In the notification options, the whiteboard owner will be able to grant access to the whiteboard from the Zoom channel by clicking on it. You will need to sign in as the account administrator in order to access the Zoom App Marketplace. There is a Manage button at the top of the page, which can be found by clicking on it. You can access the Added Apps menu by clicking on the navigation menu. To remove Microsoft Teams from your device, click the Remove button next to the app. Click the Remove button after you have confirmed the dialogue box. There are several types of information that this app accesses and uses from Zoom, including the following: Upcoming meeting: time, topic, meeting ID, participant list, and host list for the upcoming meeting. Meeting details for each meeting: the meeting ID, the meeting topic, the start time, the duration, the meeting password, the join link, as well as an invite with instructions on how to join. Meeting settings: This meeting has the following options: video, audio, password, allowing participants to start the meeting before the host, muting participants when they enter, personal meeting ID, enabling waiting rooms, limiting access to only authenticated users, enabling recording options, and enabling additional data center regions. Start a meeting: Enter the meeting id, the topic, and the password for the meeting. Schedule meeting message: meeting ID, meeting topic, start time, duration, meeting password, and link to join the meeting. User detail: The user’s name, last name, the type of the user, and the PMI are all listed. Meeting summary: the topic of the meeting, the event id, the start time, the duration of the meeting.
