How to use Zoom from Dropbox
Overview
Zoom can be controlled from Dropbox using this integration. After connecting your Zoom account, you can easily present Dropbox files in a Zoom meeting, message Zoom contacts, or join a Zoom meeting from Dropbox. You can The activity section of the file preview in Dropbox can also be used to see who presented a file in Zoom.

The following information is accessed and used by this app from Dropbox:
- File info (file id, name, size, thumbnail link) – used to display files for you to choose from
- A file shareable link allows you to share a selected file on Zoom chat and Zoom meetings
Instructions
How to connect Zoom to Dropbox
- Download the latest version of Dropbox here.
- Sign in to Dropbox and click your profile picture.
- In the Settings section, click on Connected apps.
- Your Google or Outlook calendars are not connected to Dropbox yet, connect one of them now.
- Follow the instructions that appear to connect to Zoom.
Using Dropbox to present files in Zoom
- Click the arrow next to the Share option, then click Present in Zoom when the cursor is over a file in Dropbox.
- Then enter your Zoom Meeting ID.
- You will be added to the Zoom meeting and a screen sharing window will appear. By default, the internet browser with Dropbox open will be selected as the window to display. Click the Share button.
- In the internet browser, click the tab that displays the Dropbox file.
How to message Zoom contacts from Dropbox
- You can share a file with someone by clicking the profile of their Dropbox account.
- Enter your message by clicking Message on Zoom. You may need to click the arrow near the message option and select Zoom instead if Dropbox is connected to Slack or another messaging app.
- Click Send.
How to join a Zoom meeting from Dropbox
- Open a file in Dropbox and click the profile of the person with whom you want to share it.
- You can begin a scheduled Zoom meeting by clicking Join Zoom Meeting if you have an upcoming meeting with that person.
How to see who presented a Dropbox file in Zoom
- Drobpox opens a file by clicking Activity.
- Each time someone shares this file in a Zoom meeting, a record will appear.
