Requirements.
- You must install the zoom mobile app or the Zoom desktop client.
Remember, The call notifications on the desk phones are not detailed more than the notifications on the desktop client or the zoom mobile app. Therefore, using a desktop client or mobile app is preferable for detailed notifications.
Company number, IVR, or auto-receptionist.
When the caller has dialed in the company number along with the extension, most phone models would only show your name in the call notification. This is applicable when the call gets routed through an interactive voice response (IVR) or auto-receptionist system.
However, a few yealink models won’t display your name.
Remember, the call notification will not show the auto-receptionist or company number. It shows or highlights the direct number. When you have multiple direct numbers, then it would display or give primacy to the primary number particularly prescribed in your line keys setting. When you don’t have direct numbers then call notification will show the primary line label which is usually your name.
Direct phone number.
When the caller dialed your phone number directly the call notification preferably would display your name. The call notification also highlights or displays the direct number that the caller dialed. Some yealink models can conceal your name.
Internal contact.
When the caller is from another zoom phone user from the same company or organization then the call notification shows the caller’s zoom profile name and extension. When the caller inputs your direct number then the call notification will show the number they have dialed.
Remember, when they dial your extension then the call notification will highlight or display your direct number. When you have numerous direct phone numbers then it would highlight or display your phone number mentioned in your line key’s setting.
Call queue.
When the caller directly inputs the call queue then most models would show the call queue name.
Remember, the call notification would not display the call queue number. But would display the direct number. When you have several direct numbers, then it shows or highlights the primary numbers particularized by the line keys setting.
However, when you are presently in a call or disabled calls from call queues then you won’t receive the notifications from the call queues.
Shared line group or call delegation.
