Install the Webex Education Connector for Canvas
Creating a developer key and configuring the Webex Education Connector with the info you wish to add to your Canvas site is the first step in installing the Webex Education Connector. After installing the Webex Education Connector, you must apply the developer key and configuration information to the Canvas site. A Webex education connector can be enabled site-wide, for a particular course, or in a disabled state in order to allow instructors to enable it in their courses independently during course setup. During the installation process, you will need to be an administrator of both the Canvas site and the Webex site in order to complete it.
Create the Developer Key
Before you begin
It is necessary for you to configure your Webex site for Webex Education Connector in order for you to install the Webex Education Connector.
Please sign in as an administrator, select the Administrator tab on the left hand side, and then select the account name from the drop down menu.
In order to use the tool, the account must be associated with the course.
Select Developer Keys > + Developer Key > + API Key and enter the following information:

Key Name—Enter Webex.

(Optional) Owner Email—Enter an email address.

Redirect URIs—Enter the following URIs on separate lines.

Specifically, http://lti.educonnector.io/lms_accesses/callback/

Enforce Scopes—Do not enable. It is not currently possible to support scoped developer keys.
In the Details section of the new Developer Key, you’ll find 2 IDs, one for the ID and the other for the key, so you’ll need to keep a note of them for further use.
The new Developer Key will have a section called State in which you can select ON from.
Configure the Webex Education Connector
Enter the following information into your browser’s address bar, and click https://lti.educonnector.io/ in your browser.

Full name—Enter your first and last name.

Email—Enter your administrator email address.

Institution—Enter the name of your institution.

Webex site—Enter your Webex site name.
The name of your site is what appears before .webex.com at the end of your Webex URL. You will need to enter the URL of your website if it is https://myschool.webex.com/.

LMS … The Canvas option will appear in a drop-down menu.

Install in a Disabled State:

As long as the Webex Education Connector is not checked, you will be able to turn it on for all courses at once or one by one.

A course can be enabled to use Webex Education Connector by instructors and administrators by checking this box.

Canvas Site Domain—Enter the URL of your Canvas site.
Using college.example.instructure.com, for example, would be the Canvas site URL if the Canvas site URL was https://college.example.instructure.com.

Canvas Developer ID—Enter the ID from Step 3 of Create the Developer Key.

Canvas Developer Key—Enter the Key from Step 3 of Create the Developer Key.

Canvas Site Timezone—Set your site’s time zone.
Click Next, and take note of the Consumer Key, the Shared Secret, and the URL for the LTI Registration that appears.
Install and Authorize the Webex Education Connector
The first thing you need to do is select the Admin tab in Canvas, then choose the account name:

Alternatively, if you wish to install an app site-wide, simply select one of your sites and navigate to Settings > View App Configuration > + App.

You will need to select a course from the drop-down list, and then go to Settings > View App Configuration > + App if you wish to install the app in a single course.
Here is the information you need to enter:

Configuration Type—Select By URL.

Name—Enter Webex, or another descriptive name.

Consumer Key—In Step 2, you will need to enter your Consumer Key so you can configure Webex Education Connector with your credentials.

Shared Secret—From the Configure Webex Education Connector step 2, you will be prompted to enter the Shared Secret.

Launch URL—During the Configure Webex Education Connector step, you will find the URL to access the LTI registration.
The following steps should be taken in order to ensure that the Webex Education Connector has been installed:

In the course navigation menu, under the Cisco Webex category, you will find a Cisco Webex icon if the Webex Education Connector has been enabled for the entire site.

You can find Cisco Webex in the Course Navigation menu of a particular course if you have enabled the Webex Education Connector in that particular course.

The Webex Education Connector can be installed in a disabled state by going to any course on the Webex Learning Platform. Go to Settings > Navigation in the Course Navigation menu, which is located at the top of the screen. If Cisco Webex is in the hidden items list, find it and drag it up to the visible items list on the right side of the screen.
The Cisco Webex Education Connector can be opened by clicking on the Cisco Webex icon under the Course Navigation menu.
Click the Authorize with LMS section from the Setup tab, scroll to the bottom of the screen and click the Authorize button. Proceed as instructed on the screen.
Click the Setup tab and then click Go to Admin Console to enable features to be available for instructor configuration site-wide. Once you are at the Admin Console, you can choose the features you want to enable, and then click Save.
If you would like to save your changes and return to the Setup tab, click Back.
