Install the Webex Scheduler for Microsoft 365 or on-premises Exchange

This Outlook add-in schedules, attends, and tracks Webex meetings. Install it from Microsoft 365 AppSource or with the Microsoft Exchange manifest file using this article.

Installing the Webex Scheduler causes a note to appear explaining that it uses the Read/write mailbox permission. Exchange Web Services API calls are made using this permission by the Webex Scheduler.

Install the Webex Scheduler from Microsoft AppSource

Webex Scheduler updates are automatically downloaded from Microsoft AppSource when you install and deploy it.

 The Webex Scheduler for Microsoft Exchange cannot be installed and deployed through Microsoft AppSource.

Install the Webex Scheduler from a manifest file

The Webex Scheduler can be deployed from a manifest file if you can’t use Microsoft AppSource.

It is not possible to update Webex Scheduler automatically using this method. The manifest file must be reinstalled and redeployed when Webex Scheduler needs to be updated.

Microsoft 365

• Log in to the Admin Portal for Microsoft 365.
• You can upload a custom app by selecting Settings > Integrated apps and then providing the link to the manifest file.
• Enter https://meetings-api.webex.com/wbxaddin/normal/manifest_official.xml and click Validate.

You must include https:// in the URL.

• Select the deployment method and user assignments, and then select the Deploy button.

Each time an event is created in the Outlook app, the Webex Scheduler add-in is activated.

Exchange Server

Installing the add-in directly from the URL is possible for Exchange 2019.

Before you begin

The manifest must be saved locally before you begin using Exchange 2013 or 2016. Get it from https://meetings-api.webex.com/wbxaddin/normal/manifest_official.xml.

1. Using the Exchange Administration Center, sign in.
2. Select one of the following add-ins from Organization > Add-ins:

(For Exchange 2019): Click New + > Add from URL. Enter https://meetings-api.webex.com/wbxaddin/normal/manifest_official.xml and click Install.

(For Exchange 2013 or 2016): Click Install after selecting your downloaded manifest file from New + > Add from file.
