Join a Webex Private Meeting

You can join a Webex Private Meeting on Video Mesh either using the Webex app or by using a video system that has been verified. To participate in a private meeting, you are required to have either VPN or MRA access to your local network. This functionality can only be enabled for your account if it has been approved by your administrator.

The following requirements must be met in order to hold private meetings using Video Mesh:

• Your organization can make use of Video Mesh because the hosting organization already utilizes it and makes it available to you.
• Each participant in a private gathering is expected to be a member of the group that will be hosting the gathering (referred to as the “host organization”).
• Your system administrator has permitted your personal account to participate in private meetings.
• Either directly or by means of a virtual private network (VPN), you have to ensure that you are linked to the internal network of the firm that is hosting you.
• You are only able to join the private conference if you are using the Webex app or if you are using an authenticated video system provided by the host organization.
• If your Webex app is connected to a video system, the host organization’s authenticated video system is a requirement.

Known Limitations

• Only VoIP can be used for the audio in private sessions. Unfortunately, neither Webex Edge Audio nor PSTN are supported.
• Personal Rooms are not available for use as a venue for private gatherings.
• Only privately scheduled meetings can be supported by this feature.
• Webex functions that, in order to function properly, need to be connected to the cloud, such as cloud recording, transcription, and the Webex Assistant, are incompatible with private meetings.
• Even if the video system has the Webex app installed, you won’t be able to participate in a private conference if it requires authentication.

1.  Please open the invitation email and click the link.

Get in touch with the meeting host if you don’t have an invite to the meeting.

Mobile

1.  Tap to open the invitation that was sent to your email.
