Join a webinar – Webex
You can participate in Webex Webinars using a variety of different platforms, including your computer, mobile device, browser, and more.
Desktop or web app
1 Open your email or calendar invitation.
2 If you are needed to register, click the Register button, fill out the form with your name and email address, and then check the email confirmation you receive after your registration has been authorized.
3 Click When you join a webinar, the Meetings desktop program will be downloaded and installed on your computer immediately.
4 If you are prompted to open Webex, click the Open Webex button; otherwise, click the Launch webinar button.
5 After giving your name the form in which you would like it to appear in the webinar, check the box that says “Remember me,” and then click the Sign in button to have access to the whole list of features available in the webinar.
6 If prompted, enter the attendee password (which can be found in the email invitation), and then click the Continue button after entering the password.
7 After you have connected your video and audio, click the Join webinar button.
What to do next
After the webinar has come to a close, you might be asked to participate in a survey.
Mobile
1 Open your email or calendar invitation.
2 If you are needed to register, select the Register option, then enter your name and email address. When your registration is authorized, you will receive a confirmation email; open this email.
3 Tap Join webinar.
4 If the Meetings mobile app is not already installed on your device, tap the Download Webex Meetings > Install > Open > Join button.
5 Make the necessary changes to your name so that it will be shown correctly in the webinar, check the box that says “Remember me,” and then press the Sign in button to gain access to the complete list of webinar features.
6 If prompted, enter the Attendee password (which can be found in the email invitation), and then touch the Continue button to move forward.
7 Make sure your video and audio are connected so that other people can see and hear you.
Phone only
1 Open your email or calendar invitation. If you already have a Webex account set up on your computer, you can find the webinar by looking on the Home page or in the Calendar list.
2 Get the Join by phone number and dial it.
3 After entering the access code, you will be prompted to enter the Event number.
4 Enter the 8-digit password for the Event on the phone, followed by the # sign.
5 When prompted, enter the numeric password that corresponds to your Attendee ID.
Video system
Join directly from a video system as an attendee.
In the event that the host only forwards the panelist invitation email to you, you will not be able to participate in the webinar in the capacity of a panelist. If you want to participate in a webinar as a panelist, the host will need to send you an invitation from the scheduler, or the host or a cohost will need to use the invite and remind tool to invite you while the webinar is already happening.
Desktop or web app
1 Open the invitation that was sent to your email or calendar and click the Join webinar button. Find the webinar in the list of upcoming events on your Home page or Calendar if you already have a Webex account on your computer, and then click the Join button.
2 The Meetings desktop application will be downloaded and installed for you automatically if you do not already have it on your computer.
3 If you are prompted to open Webex, click the Open Webex button; otherwise, click the Launch webinar button.
4 Enter your name exactly as you would like it to appear in the webinar, check the box that says “Remember me,” and then click the Sign in button to have access to the whole list of features available in the webinar.
5 If you are asked for the Panelist password, which may be found in the email invitation, enter it and then click the Continue button.
6 After you have connected your video and audio, or after you have connected to a video system, click the Join webinar button.
Mobile
1 Open the invitation that was sent to you through email or calendar and select the Join webinar option. Find the webinar under My Meetings on your mobile device if you already have a Webex account, and then click the Join button.
2 You will be prompted to download the mobile app in the event that it is not already installed on your device. Download the Webex Meetings app, then tap Install, Open, and Join.
3 Give your name the form in which you would like it to appear during the webinar, check the box that says “Remember me,” and then hit the Sign in button to have access to the entire catalog of webinar features.
4 Tap the Continue button after providing the Panelist password (which can be found in the invitation email) if required to do so.
5 Either connect the video and audio components of your mobile device, or connect to a video system.
Phone only
1 Open your email or calendar invitation. If you already have a Webex account set up on your computer, you can find the webinar by looking on the Home page or in the Calendar list.
2 Get the Join by phone number and dial it.
3 After entering the access code, you will be prompted to enter the Event number.
4 Followed by the pound sign (#), enter the eight-digit Panelist password for the phones.
5 When prompted, enter the numeric password that corresponds to your Attendee ID.
