Issues with the Zoom Launcher plug-in
In some cases, the plugins may not be installed, or may not be properly activated, or may not be correctly disabled, or may have been installed correctly but failed to function. As a result of this, you may have to do a few things to make sure the problem is resolved: Check if the Zoom Launcher Plugin is enabled (re-enable it if it was disabled)
Safari
The majority of plug-ins are no longer supported by Safari. In order to launch Zoom each time, you will need to select the option to launch it.
Internet Explorer
-
Internet Explorer does not have a Zoom plugin installed.
-
It will automatically launch a file named zoom_launcher.exe on your system.
The following steps can be taken if you were able to enable it but it has continued to download every time that you tried to use it:
-
If you have any instances of Firefox or Chrome (shadow) running, open the task manager and kill them all
-
The zoom launcher plugin should be removed when you restart Firefox/Chrome
-
In the web browser (zoom.us), click ‘host a meeting’ and it should reload the Zoom plugin for you
