Known issues for enhanced meetings associated with a space -Webex app

Find out about the problems that have been identified with the use of enhanced meetings linked with a space.

Known problems

• When users try to start an instant meeting from a space that was created quite some time ago, they may receive the error message “We can’t connect your call.” in some instances.

As a workaround, you could attempt to restart the immediate meeting.

• The numeric meeting password that is necessary to join an instant meeting from a video system is not displayed anywhere in the meeting information that appears on the desktop, including in the meetings list, the spaces list, or the meeting information. This is the case even though the meeting password is required.
• A workaround can be found by joining the meeting after clicking the Webex App’s Connect to a device button.
• You are able to see but not modify a whiteboard that is being shared in a meeting that is associated with a space, even if you have access to full-featured meetings or if you are not a member of the space.
• When you plan a meeting connected with a space, it may take some time before the meeting really appears in the space. This might be frustrating on occasion.

Things to note

• It is not possible to schedule meetings or use the Meet button.

Meetings and the Meet button will not be visible to you in spaces if you do not have a valid Webex license. You will be able to experience enhanced meetings connected with a space after the Basic meetings licensing feature is made available and the license is distributed to users.

If you have not yet established your Personal Room, you will not have access to the default Webex site. As a consequence of this, both Meetings and the Meet button will appear less brightly in spaces. Under the heading “Preferences,” check to see that your Personal Room has been set up and that the default Webex site has been selected.

• When you are in a meeting with full functionality, you will use the role management permission to Zoom Chat panel to send messages rather than the Messages panel. Although the messages will not be added to the area linked with the meeting, you will be able to access them in the recording of the meeting.
