Local Contacts on Your DECT Handset in webex

A local phone directory is available on your DECT handset so that you can keep track of your personal contacts.

Local contacts

Your local contact list is where you can store information about your contacts and create and save them if you wish. It is possible to have up to 250 entries in your local contacts list. The number of phone numbers that can be assigned to each contact is four.

As soon as you have added contacts, you will be able to call them easily. Your local contacts can be set up as speed dials so that you can access them more quickly.

A local contact list can also be uploaded to your handset, or your administrator can export your contact list to another device.

From the main screen or from the menu, you can access the contact list.

Add a Local Contact

Your contact list can be expanded.

• Press Select after selecting Add contact.
• Edit the document.
• Please enter the contact’s name.
• Save the file.
• Make sure you highlight the category you want to edit, and then press Edit.
• A phone number must be added at least once.

The contact number can be entered here and then saved.

• The last character entered can be deleted if you make a mistake by pressing Clear.

Contacts can be customized with ringtones (optional).

1. Press Edit to edit the ringtone.

2. Choose a melody.

   The ringtone can be heard by pressing Play

3. Select the option.

• Save the file.
• Yes, press the button.

Add a Recent Caller to Your Contact List

Your local contacts list can be updated with information from recent calls.

• Recent press releases.
• Identify the most recent caller.
• Select Save as a contact from the More menu.
• To add a phone number, select the category and press Add.

An entry is made for the number used by the caller to reach you.

• Save the number by pressing Save.
• The field can be highlighted and added (optionally).
• The field can be edited by selecting it, then clicking Edit.
• The contact will be saved when you press Save.
• Confirm by pressing Yes.

Call a Local Contact

Contacts on your contact list can be called. It is possible to choose which phone number to call if the contact has more than one phone number configured.

1. Contacts for the media.
2. An entry should be highlighted.
3. You can display the number to call by pressing right or left on the navigation ring if your contact has more than one phone number configured.
4. The press conference has begun.

Edit a Local Contact

Your contact list allows you to edit entries.

• Contacts for the press.
• Edit the contact by highlighting it.
• Click here to learn more.
• The Edit contact option will appear.
• The information that needs to be changed should be highlighted.

3. Save the file.

• The contact entry can be changed by pressing Save.

Delete a Local Contact

The contact can be removed from your contact list.

1. Contacts for the press.
2. You can delete a contact by selecting it.

4. To delete a contact, select it.
5. Press Yes when the prompt appears.

Delete all local contacts.

Contacts can be deleted from your contact list at any time.
