Locking or unlocking a call in zoom
It is possible for you to lock your current call if you are part of a shared line group or part of a call delegation setup in order to prevent others from entering your call or monitoring it. In general, the types of shared lines will prevent specific functions to be performed:

The following will be prevented if you are part of a shared line group and you lock the call:

Putting a call on hold prevents other phone users from picking up the call if you place it on hold.

In contrast, other users of the phone will not be able to monitor the call (listen, whisper, barge in, or take over the call).

You will be prevented from committing the following mistakes if you lock the call as a delegate of a call delegation setup:

Put the call on hold so that no other phone users are able to pick up the call if you do so.

How to lock or unlock a call

The Zoom desktop client or Zoom mobile app can be accessed by logging in.

Calls can be made or received.

Using the controls on the in-call screen, click or tap More to learn more.

Tap or click on the Lock Call or Unlock Call button to lock or unlock the call.
As soon as the call has been blocked or unblocked, you will receive a notification explaining what it means.
Results of locking a call

In the Lines tab, you will see an eye icon next to the relevant line that you want to edit. It is also possible to see this icon on the phones of other users within the same shared line group or call delegation setup.

You will not be able to lock the call if another phone is already monitoring it when you lock it. This will result in them remaining on the call.

In other words, you can not add or start a 3-way call when a call is locked (also known as adding a call or starting a call).
