Manage the Invitation List in Webex Events (Classic)
Your invitation list and distribution list can be created, edited, and managed within Webex Events (Classic).
Create an Invitation List and Invite Participants to Your Event
When you use a distribution list, you can add multiple contacts simultaneously to your Cisco Webex Events (Classic).
- Using Webex Events (Classic) > Schedule an Event can be done by logging into your Webex account.
- Choose the Attendees & Registration or Presenters & Panelists tab, then click Create invitation list.
- The attendee’s name and email address should be entered, the attendee should be checked, and the invite button should be clicked.
In the Create Panelist Invitation List window, click Import Contacts to import contacts from a distribution list. You should use a delimited format to import files, separating entries with commas or tabs.
- When you have finished creating your invitation list, click Schedule This Event at the bottom.
- Send Now > OK > Continue or send later by checking the boxes of the recipients you wish to send to.
Edit an Invitation List
Once an event is scheduled, you can edit the invitation list to correct errors, send new invitations, or resend them. Your invitation list for attendees and panelists can be adjusted when you edit an event.
- Select the event you would like to edit from Meetings on your Webex site.
- Click Edit Event at the bottom of the Event Information page.
- The Invited Attendees & Participants or the Presenters & Panelists sections allow you to edit the invitation list.
- Click Select All, then Add to Invitation List after checking the attendees.
- Then click the Update This Event button.
Create a distribution list
- You can access My contacts by logging into your Webex account, clicking your name, and selecting My contacts from the upper-right side of the page.
- Select Add Distribution List from the menu.
- The name and description of your distribution list can be entered here.
- Add new contacts or search for existing ones.

Use the search box to find a contact.

Choose the first letter of a contact’s name to search for him or her.

Your personal contacts list can be viewed by selecting All.

Select Add Contact to add a new contact.
- To add contacts, select them in the left-hand box and click Add.
- Select Add when you have finished adding contacts.
