Managing the Zoom App Marketplace
You can manage apps installed on your account, manage pre-approval and installation requests, regulate app permissions, review the Active Apps Notifier Report, manage email notifications, and view API logs through the Marketplace Admin Dashboard. When managing permissions, installs, and email notifications, all admins in your account will share the same view.
Note: In order to publish an app to the Zoom App Marketplace, all apps have been reviewed for security and data compliance.

Accessing the Admin Dashboard
You can access the Admin Dashboard by logging into your Zoom account at marketplace.zoom.us and clicking Manage in the top-right corner.
Admin Dashboards allow you to carry out the following tasks:
- Installed applications on a user’s account can be viewed
- From the Notifier Report for Active Apps
- Where pre-approvals can be managed and installation requests can be submitted
- Submitted, as well as managing app permissions
- As well as managing email notifications
- And viewing API logs
Configuring pre-approval
An admin can require pre-approval of apps before they can be installed to have more control over the Integrations used by members of the account. Members of the account can request approval, which will alert the admins, or the admin can pre-approve apps that are already approved.
Pre-approval is disabled by default for single-user accounts that have not yet accessed Marketplace, but enabled for multi-user accounts. Single-user accounts will be reminded of pre-approval setWhen adding an additional user(s), single-user accounts will be reminded of their pre-approval settings.
- Log in to Zoom’s web portal.
- Choose App Marketplace from the Advanced menu.
- Click Manage to access the Marketplace.
- Click Permissions under Admin App Management.
- Adjust the Require publicly listed apps on the Zoom App Marketplace to be pre-approved for your users option as needed.
- If enabling, click the toggle to enable it. If a verification dialog displays, click Turn On to verify the change.
- Check the Allow publicly listed apps created by Zoom to be installed without admin pre-approval check box to exempt Zoom-created apps from admin pre-approval.
- (Optional) Check the Allow publicly listed apps to be installed without admin pre-approval checkbox to make apps created by members of your organization exempt from admin pre-approval.
Allowing specific users or user groups to install an app
Administrators and owners can search the Marketplace for apps and pre-approve them individually. Apps can be installed by members of the account once they have been pre-approved.
Users on your account can request applications that you haven’t approved for the App Marketplace if you haven’t approved them. Noreply@zoom.us will send you a message if this occurs.
- Admins and owners should sign in to https://marketplace.zoom.us/.
- Select an app by clicking on its icon.
- Activate the toggle for Approve use of this app under the App permissions section.
By default, Allow all users on your account to install this app is selected. If you would like to instead pre-approve the app for certain users or groups:
- Select Allow specific users or user groups to install this app.
- Click Add users.
- Select Add an individual user or Add a user group.
- Add an individual user: Enter the email address of the user in your account and click Add. Repeat this process as necessary to include additional users.
- Add a user group: Enter the group name of the user group in your account and click Add. Repeat this process as necessary to include additional user groups.
Note: A combination of individual users and user groups can be given access to a pre-approved app.
Reviewing existing pre-approvals
You can also review your already pre-approved apps for your account. To view all apps that have accessed data in the past 30 days, use the Active Apps Notifier Report to review recently active apps.
- Click Manage.
- Under the Admin App Management section, click Apps on Account.
- Click the Pre-approved Apps tab to review a list of apps you have pre-approved.
Reviewing pre-approval and install requests
Pre-approval requests (per user installed apps) and install requests (account level installed apps) can be managed by administrators and owners. Administrators receive an email from noreply@zoom.us with further information in response to each request.
- Manage your account.
- On the Admin App Management page, click App Requests.
- You can check pre-approval requests from your users by clicking the Active Requests tab. Before a user can install an app on his or her own behalf, the admin must pre-approve the app.
- If you select Reject, the app will not be installed.
Chat bot visibility control
Zoom account management allows you to configure a specific chat bot to be visible to all users on your account or to specific IM Groups. By default, the app is visible to all users. You can change this by:
- Logging in as an admin to Zoom Marketplace.
- Choose an app from the list.
- Change the Chat Visibility after installation in the App Permissions section to Specific IM groups can view the app in chat.
- Select the groups you want.
- Choose the IM group that you want to see this app in, and click Add. Repeat the process for any additional IM groups.To use this option, you must have IM groups enabled in IM Management, as well as an existing IM group.n.
- Save the changes.
Managing email notifications
App Marketplace users will be able to request pre-approval and installation requests for apps on your account. As well as the ability to designate additional recipients, you can enable or disable email notifications for these requests. To manage email notifications:
- Select Manage.
- Click Email Notifications under Admin App Management..
- You can enable email notifications for pre-approval, installation, and app upgrade requests by clicking the Notify when users send app requests toggle.
- (Optional) To receive email notifications when user-level apps have updates, click the Notify when user-level apps have updates button.
By clicking Add Email, you can add additional recipients to be notified.
Note: These notifications can be configured to be sent to your ticketing service, such as Zendesk, by entering your ticketing service’s support address. You can obtain or configure your support address by consulting the documentation for your specific ticketing system.
