Manually adding devices to ABM in zoom app
As long as the iPad is classified as a DEP (Device Enrollment Program) device, which means that it has been purchased at Apple or an Apple authorized reseller, the iPad can be enrolled in Apple Business Manager (ABM) or Apple School Manager (ASM). The Zoom web portal can be used to manage these devices once they have been enrolled in Apple Business Manager.

How to manually add devices to ABM

Get the latest version of Apple Configurator 2 by downloading it here.

In Apple Configurator 2, you need to plug your device in and click on Prepare.

Make sure that Manual Configuration is selected.

Enrollment in the Device Enrollment Program can be completed by checking the Add to Device Enrollment Program and activating.
Note: In this case, if the device is activated and the enrollment process is completed, the device will be enrolled in MDM, but will not be considered to be enrolled in the DEP automation process.When creating a new server, you should take the following steps:

The enrollment should be given a name that you will recognize in the Zoom web portal and copied the group enrollment account url that is located on the enrollment page. When the Apple tab is selected, click on the Manual Enrollment button. Under the QR code, you will find a link that will take you to the website.
Note: There might be an error message that says “Unable to verify the server’s enrollment URL”. Click Next if this occurs. -
You can see certificates on this page, and if this is your first time creating a server, click Next to select the New Server option, or select a server and click Next to continue to the next step.

Choosing New Organization will allow you to create a new organization if you have never done so before, otherwise choosing an organization will allow you to continue
In the case of creating a new organization:-
If you are attempting to log in with your Apple ID and password you use for logging into ABM/ASM, please enter those credentials.

An identity for supervision needs to be generated.

By selecting which setup screens you wish to view, you can proceed to the next step in the setup process.

Click on Network Profile and then click Next to continue.

For Automated Enrollment Credentials, there is no need to provide credentials. Simply click Prepare.

For the device to be prepared, click the Erase button.

Then you will see a Remote Configuration Screen which will appear as soon as your device has rebooted and has connected to the network. Click Next to continue.
The device will reboot once more, and after that you will see a black screen with the words “Resetting iPad” on it. -
The Zoom Rooms controller is automatically downloaded and launched by your device within a few minutes of your device being turned on after you have completed the setup screens.
