Known issues and limitations:
- In order for the video, call my computer, and content sharing functions of Firefox to function, users of certain versions of Linux are required to proactively install and activate the “OpenH264 Video Codec provided by Cisco Systems, Inc.” plugin.
- Due to a problem with the WebRTC screen sharing API, content sharing does not function in Linux distributions that use Wayland as their display management system (for example, Fedora 25 and later). This includes versions of Fedora.
- In Fedora 28, there is a problem with the H.264 encoding that prevents users from successfully sending and receiving video.
- The end-to-end encryption feature is not available for use with Linux clients.
