Microphone is not Picking up Audio in Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP) Session- Webex
Note:
Before attempting the methods outlined in this article, check to see that your microphone is not muted. It’s possible that the host mute button was selected for your microphone. You could also examine your microphone or headset to see if there is a physical mute switch, and you should make sure that it is not activated.
If the microphone icon that is displayed next to your name in the Webex Participants panel is colored orange, it indicates that your microphone is currently muted. See “Mute or Unmute in Cisco Webex Meetings Suite” for further assistance.
Solution:
In the event that you have already joined the VoIP conference and discovered that your microphone is malfunctioning, you will be required to exit the VoIP conference before you will be able to modify the audio settings.

To test or set up your microphone to work with Webex VoIP:
1 Navigate to the menu labeled “Audio & Video” within the meeting or event window.
2 Adjust the Settings for the Microphone and Speakers…
3 When you speak into your microphone, blue bars will appear in the Microphone area to indicate whether or not it is functioning properly.
4 If there are no bars displayed, choose a different microphone from the selection that drops down next to it.
5 Repeat step 3 as necessary until you identify the correct device, and when you are finished, close the test window.
6 Join the ongoing VoIP conversation.
