Softkey, Line, and Feature Buttons
There are a few different ways in which you can engage with the functions that are available on your phone:
You can gain access to the function that is displayed on the screen above the softkey by pressing the corresponding softkey, which is placed below the screen. The function of the softkeys will change based on what you are currently doing. You can see a list of additional functions that are accessible by pressing the More… softkey.
You may access the phone’s features and lines via the feature buttons and line buttons, respectively, which are situated on either side of the screen.
Buttons providing features such as speed dial or call pickup, as well as viewing your status on another line, are referred to as feature buttons.
Line buttons are used to answer incoming calls or resume calls that have been put on hold. When not in use for a current call, this button can be used to start various phone features, such as the display for missed calls.
The following functions are indicated by the feature and line buttons lighting up:
- Line button with a green LED that stays lit up when there is an active call or two-way intercom call
- Hold button is indicated by a green flashing LED on the line button.
- Amber LED on the line button indicates that privacy is being used, a one-way intercom call is taking place, or the user is logged into a Hunt Group.
- Line button Flashing amber LED indicates an incoming call or a call that is being reversed.
- Line button Red, constantly lit LED indicates that the remote line is in use (shared line or Line Status) or that Do Not Disturb mode is now engaged.
- Line button with a flashing red LED indicates that the remote line is on hold.
Your system administrator has the ability to assign certain functions to either softkeys or feature buttons. In addition, you can access certain features by using the relevant softkeys or the associated hard button.
