Opting out of Zoom Phone SMS in zoom App
Your existing SMS provider can be integrated with Zoom Phone.
Note:
You should send any subsequent SMS inquiries to the appropriate third-party after opting out of Zoom for hosted SMS. Zoom can no longer assist you with SMS troubleshooting after opting out of Zoom SMS.
Prerequisites for opting out of Zoom Phone SMS
- Admin privileges or account owner
- license for Zoom Phone
How to opt out of Zoom Phone SMS
- Detailed information about number porting can be found by emailing numberporting@zoom.us;
- Please include the following subject line: Change the provider of Zoom Phone SMS to a third party
- Mobile number you wish to use
- To access your SMS provider’s NID (Net Number ID). This needs to be obtained before opening a Zoom ticket.
- Signed LOA from your new SMS provider (request the LOA from your provider)
- Be sure to include the following information:
You have my permission to release the SMS to the service provider of your choice after the SMS has been disabled from our Zoom Phone account.
- An email confirming receipt will be sent by a member of the porting team, who will follow up with an update once work is complete.
