Pairing is Failing Between the Webex Mobile Clients and the Cisco TelePresence SX10 Quick Set
The Webex Mobile Clients and the Cisco TelePresence SX10 Quick Set are having trouble pairing with one another.
Unfortunately, the Cisco TelePresence SX10 Quick Set is not compatible with the Webex mobile Client and cannot pair with it.
The ultrasonic technology built into the Cisco TelePresence SX10 device is unable to locate the Webex mobile client.
Users are able to pair the Webex mobile client through the use of ultrasound technology thanks to the Cisco Intelligent Proximity feature that is included with the new SX10 (CTS-SX10N-K9). During the initial setup process, the system will carry out an ultrasonic test in order to evaluate the performance of the ultrasound decoder. In the event that the Webex mobile client does not pair, check the Settings menu of the mobile client to ensure that the proximity features are turned on. The device will not be able to pair if the Settings menu on the mobile client does not contain a listing for the Proximity Feature. An Administrator is required to turn on the function before it may be used.
In order to activate Proximity Features on the Webex mobile client, please do the following:
- Connect to the Webex meeting using the mobile app on your device.
- To access the app’s menu, tap the symbol located in the upper left corner of the screen.
- Click the Settings button.
- Tap the button to activate the Proximity Features.
Note : The color green on the icon denotes that it is now active. The color grey on the symbol denotes that it is currently turned off.
