Call Park
You can park a call on your phone by using your phone’s parking function. After retrieving the call, you will be able to answer it either from your phone or another phone, such as a phone in a conference room or on a coworker’s desk, if that is possible.
Your network will keep track of the parked call so that it won’t be forgotten by you. It is possible to receive an alert if the call is parked for an extended period of time. Your original phone will then let you know whether the call should be answered, declined to answer, or ignored. Information can also be retrieved from another device if you wish.
The call will be routed to voicemail or a different destination, depending on the setting of your administrator, if you do not answer the call within a certain time period.
There is only one line for a parked call.
Place a Call on Hold with Call Park
The call control system enables you to use another phone within the system to retrieve an active call that you answered on your phone, which has been parked.
It is also possible to park a call on the phone you are currently using. There is a possibility that you will not hear the recording if this is the case.
There is a limit of one call that you can park at the number of call parking.
Before you begin
There must be an active call on your line.
- Park in the press.
You will hear a recorded message on your phone asking you for the number of the call that you parked.
- In case your key expansion module has been configured with call park, you will need to press the line key for the call park function.
- Press the pound (#) key after entering the number.
- Please inform the person retrieving the phone of the parked number (optional).
Retrieve a Call on Hold with Call Park
A parked call can be picked up from any device on your network, regardless of where it is parked.
Before you begin
In order to park the call, you will need to know what number was used.
- Unpark the vehicle by pressing the Unpark button.
- For calls on hold that have been placed on hold, press the key on the line that has a busy lamp field configured with the pick-up option.
- In case your key expansion module has been configured with call park, you will need to press the line key for the call park function.
- After entering your number for the call, enter a pound (#) and then enter the number where the call is parked.
If you would like to retrieve a parked call, you can enter Pound (#) as well. You may not need to enter a number if you are retrieving a call parked on your own phone.
