Place Calls on Hold on Your Phone in Webex
Put a Call on Hold
In order to put an active call on hold, you just need to wait until you are ready to pick it back up. You will be unable to continue your video call when you place it on hold until you end the video call.
Choose one of the following actions to take:

Desk phones—Press Hold.

Conference phones—Press Hold.
To resume a call from hold

Desk phones—Press Hold again.

Conference phones—Press Resume.
Swap Between Active and Held Calls
Calls that are currently active can be switched easily to those that are on hold.
- The held call can be switched to by pressing the Swap button.
- When the other call is placed on hold, you will be automatically placed on hold while the held call is being resumed by pressing the session button on that call.
Answer a Call Left on Hold for Too Long
There is a setting on your phone that will notify you when a call has been left on hold for too long, so you are aware of when that has occurred:

There is a flashing red line on the 6800 Series and 7800 Series desk phones

There is a flashing message indicator on the handset of the 6800 Series, the 7800 Series, and the 8800 Series desk phones

There is a flashing LED bar on the conference phones

On the screen of the phone, there is a visual notification

When a hold reminder is configured on the phone web page, a ringing notification will be sent to the phone.
If you want to do one of these things, you should:

Desk phones—The held call can be resumed by pressing Hold or Resume.

Conference phones—In order to resume the call that has been held, press the Answer button.
