Power Pack usage of the experience of zoom desktop power users
The desktop power experience is mainly for those zoom users who already are engaged with handling many calls as well as can transfer those calls immediately. For instance, the job positions like desk agents, an assistant of executive position or for the receptionists. You can view the phone users’ call queues, shared line group, and shared line appearance of the call delegation conveniently. The zoom phone users can instantly access the zoom voicemail, dialer, and history. The zoom desktop client would have enriched the contact window of the phone users which can be optimized for transferring calls or for searching their contacts in fewer clicks.
Remember, as a prerequisite, the zoom phone power pack as an add-in should be enabled power package feature.
Preconditions.
- The feature requires enabling zoom power pack add-on.
- The admin must set up the desktop experience power user.
- The feature is accessible for the Mac OS or Windows client version of 5.6.0 or above.
- The zoom phone pro license and relatable features should be possessed by the admin.
The way for enabling desktop power users with customized widgets.
Zoom phone users will be capable of personalizing the desktop power pack widgets, once the admin would enable the desktop power user.
Remember, you should be a zoom call queue member, including the shared line group and appearance must be able to customize the widgets.
Step 1. In the zoom web portal, you should first sign in.
Step 2. Tap on the Phone tab.
Step 3. Select the settings section.
Step 4. You should enable the desktop power user toggle and further tap on edit or view.
Step 5. The widgets like shared line appearance, shared line groups, or call queues from the desktop power user must be set. And you can even reorder them if required.
Step 6. Tap on save.
Overview for the widgets.
- To the maximum extent if 4 widgets can be shown for the desktop power user window which you can edit to the web portal. Your phone line is shown in the bottom widget for windows and the top widget for Mac OS.
- Based on the widget type, you will find the associated info for each widget.
- Shared line group. It would display the present active members who have signed in during their job hours.
- Shared line appearance (call delegation). The delegator’s present status is shown.
- Call queue. It shows waiting for members in the queue and the rest of the active members. ( who have signed in for the business hour).
Way of receiving the calls.
Simultaneously, in both the Zoom desktop client (Lines tab) and desktop power user window, you will find the notifications of the zoom inbound call notifications during call receiving. In any of the windows, you can either reject or answer the call. For that tap on accepting or decline buttons appearing on the screen.
The procedure of using in-call controls.
There are below in-call controls while in an active call.
- Record feature. With this button, you can initiate or stop the call recording.
- Info feature. The present call information is being shown to you.
- Dial pad feature. Near your desktop power user window, you can access the dial pad.
- Call park feature. You can park the call which any other user can pick up.
- Hang up call feature. This would end the call.
- Hold feature. With this, you can resume or keep the call on hold.
- Transfer the call feature. You can shift the call to another contact. There’s a search bar that enables you in searching for the contact. Run through the name of the contact and then tap on any of the features from blind transfer for sending the voice mail.
Zoom setting the current status.
With this, you can tap on the display picture, and there update the current status to away, available, or DND or Do not Disturb.
Can You view the voicemail and call history?
Tap on the clock button with which the history feature would get focussed in the central zoom window for recordings of viewing the call history.
You can refocus the voicemail section by tapping on the voicemail icon for the central zoom window and seeing the voicemail.
How to alter widget settings?
There’s an eclipse option next to each of the widget access tap on any of the settings-
- Call queue widgets.
- Receive call queues. From the call queue, this helps in disabling or enabling the zoom inbound calls.
- Call delegate or shared line appearance widgets.
- You have to select the button for calling, chatting, or meeting the delegate settings.
- Personal line widget (top).
- There’s a view of more info with which to alter the zoom settings in the web portal.
- Group call pick-up widgets.
- You can get to know the role of users in choosing the group call.
- Shared line group widgets.
- Receiving group calls. From the shared line groups, it will disable or enable the zoom inbound calls.
Way of using the contacts list.
You can open the expanded contacts panel of the Zoom desktop client for showing user presence in real-time situations. For instant access to chat, meet or call with the contacts follow the process-
Step 1. In the zoom web portal, you should first sign in.
Step 2. On the contacts tab, you have to tap on it.
Step 3. From the contact list, you can choose a group where the contact is shown on the left. The current status of the contact is also shown.
Step 4. Run through the contact for instantly accessing the call, chat or meet with them.
