Pro Pack For Control Hub In Webex
As an add-on service through Control Hub, the Pro Pack for Control Hub adds advanced security, compliance, and analytics functionality to your software management system, providing your administrators, information security professionals, and compliance officers with a wide range of capabilities.
Security
Every Webex App customer gets end-to-end encryption as part of their subscription. The Pro Pack also comes with a number of features that allow you to better control data security and retrieval if you are in a highly regulated industry. With the Pro Pack, you have access to the following advanced security features that can be controlled by the user:
-
Hybrid Data Security—Secure your on-premises datacenter while managing your encrypting keys, decrypting keys, and other security services from your own encrypted keys or decrypting keys. Hybrid Data Security can be found on the Hybrid Data Security page for more information.
-
The Webex App can be customized with custom security settings
-
Block External Communication—It is possible to control whether people are able to communicate in spaces with anyone outside of your organization as part of securing your organization’s data and preventing data from being shared outside your organization. Please see our article about blocking external users from your organization’s Webex spaces for more information.
-
PIN lock enforcement—You can set up a PIN lock on your mobile device if you wish to ensure that the content on your device is secure. The user can only use the Webex App on mobiles with a PIN or a lock screen after PIN lock has been enabled on the mobile device. Check out the section on setting up mobile device security for more information.
-
Revoke access—You can remotely revoke a person’s Webex App access or wipe any cached Webex App content from their mobile phone when you lose their phone, or when they leave your organization. Or, when people lose their mobile phone, or when somebody leaves your organization. See Restrict Webex Access for a User for more information on how to revoke Webex access for a user.
-
File Share Controls—The Webex App allows you to control the way people share files with each other. It is possible to restrict users from downloading, previewing, and uploading files to Webex App if you would like to prevent data loss, eliminate malware concerns, and apply policy controls to Webex App. Please see the Prevent People From Sharing Files article for more information
-
Compliance
The Standard Pack as well as the Pro Pack both offer different compliance capabilities that can be customized to your needs. Both of these solutions are capable of meeting the needs of your organization in terms of complying with company data policies, supporting legal extraction requirements, as well as ensuring data security on a high level. Data Loss Prevention (DLP) systems and archival systems can be integrated with this second layer of security in order to provide you with an increased level of security.
-
EDiscovery search and extraction tool—Standard Webex App customers have limited access to content within their Webex App space for a period of 90 days, whereas Pro Pack customers have unlimited access to data within their Webex App spaces. You can narrow your search by using email addresses, space IDs, keywords, and time limits based on your specific requirements. See Ensure that Webex App Content is Regulatory Compliant for more information.
-
Events API for DLP and Archival—No matter if you are a standard customer or you have a Pro Pack account, the Events API allows you to integrate with your existing Data Loss Prevention (DLP) tool so that a single application can be used in multiple places. The policy can even be checked for violations and actions can be taken to resolve any problems that arise. For Pro Pack customers, you can, however, monitor events that occurred more than 90 days ago if you are a customer of the Pro Pack. Messages can be posted, files can be uploaded, and users can be added to spaces as part of events. If you would like to archive a large amount of Webex App data the Events API can be integrated with your current archiving software, so you can do so with an unlimited amount of data.
The Webex App can be integrated with archiving and DLP solutions, and more information can be found at https://developer.webex.com/.
-
Real-time file DLP—As a result of ProPack, Compliance Officers and DLP systems have access to real-time file inspections and mitigations as part of their DLP governance process.
There are two ways to ensure the DLP system is proactive: sending webhooks and allowing the system to scan the file as soon as it is placed in its designated location before anyone is able to access it.
-
Flexible retention policy—It’s possible to set retention times if you’re a customer of Webex App’s Pro Pack, in order to align content that is created and shared by members of your organization with your own organization’s policies. As soon as the data reached the end of its retention period, it was removed and is no longer retrievable.
The article Setting Your Organization’s Retention Policy can provide you with more information on this topic.
-
Legal Hold—You can use legal hold if you are a Pro Pack customer in order that your retention policy will not delete information that you need during a litigation as a result of the legal hold.
The following article provides more information regarding the use of Legal Hold for managing compliance data.
Analytics
By leveraging the analytics included with Pro Pack, you will be able to gain a greater perspective into data for user adoption and usage, as well as gain detailed insight into it. The data that can be viewed can be drilled down into and you can view data that spans up to 13 months. By analyzing this data, we can find out what you can do to improve user adoption, optimize your resources, and understand the trends that are happening in the business more effectively.
You can find out more about analytics for your cloud collaboration portfolio by visiting our article on using classic reports for meetings.
