Recording a video greeting or videomail in zoom
When a Zoom Phone user misses an inbound call from another Zoom Phone user in the same account, a video greeting can be recorded and played on the inbound call. Videomail messages left by these users can then be played back at any time by these users.

Prerequisites for recording a video greeting or videomail

For Windows, macOS, or Linux, Zoom Desktop Client 5.5.0 or higher is required

For iOS and Android devices running version 5.9.0 or higher, you can download the Zoom mobile app

Zoom Phone license

Voicemail and videomail policy settings can be enabled at the account or site level as well as the user level by your administrator
Note: By default, you will be unable to use the videomail feature. To be able to record a video greeting, or to leave videomail for other phone users on the account, this needs to be enabled in the account settings.
How to record a video greeting
Desktop client

Open the Zoom desktop client on your computer and log in.

Then click on your profile picture and then click on the Settings button.

To access the Phone tab, click on it.

To access the Video Greeting section, scroll down to the bottom of the page

If there is not already a video greeting, click Record if there isn’t one. Alternatively, you can click View Video Greeting if there is already a video greeting available.

Here are the options you can choose from:

A video greeting can be created if there isn’t one already available:

(Optional) : In the top right corner of your video greeting window, click on the picture icon, and then choose an image that you would like to be used as a background for your video greeting.
Note: At the moment, this feature is available only by request. In order to enable this feature for your account, your administrator will need to submit a request to Zoom Support. -
Close: When you are finished with your video greeting, close the window.

Record: Press the record button to begin recording your video greeting. The recording can be stopped and saved by clicking on the Stop Recording button.

In the event that a video greeting already exists:

(Optional): To use an image as a background for your video greeting, click on the picture icon in the top right corner of the video greeting window, and then select the image that you wish to use.
Note: This feature is currently only available by request and is not available by default. It is possible for your account administrator to submit a request to Zoom Support to enable this feature for your account. -
Delete: The existing video greeting will be deleted.

Done: Click on the close button to close the video greeting window.

Retake: Start recording a new video greeting that will replace the one that you have already recorded. To stop and save the recording, click on the Stop Recording button at the bottom of the screen.

Mobile app

Open Zoom’s mobile app on your mobile device and sign in.

Click on the more icon () at the bottom of the screen to see more options.

Then tap on the phone.

Please scroll down to the section where you will find the VIDEO GREETING

In the event that there is no existing video greeting, tap Record to create one. Tap View Video Greeting if there is already a video greeting that you would like to view.

Here are the options you can choose from:

In the event that a video greeting does not exist, please follow these steps:

Close: The video greeting page will be closed once you click Close.

Record: You are going to start recording a video greeting. You can stop and save the recording by tapping Stop Recording.

Switch: You are able to choose between the front-facing and rear-facing cameras on your mobile device.

In the event that a video greeting already exists:

Delete: If the video greeting already exists, delete it.

Close: When you are finished with your video greeting, close the window.

Retake: In order to replace the current video greeting with a new one, you will need to start capturing a new one. To stop and save the recording, tap the Stop Recording button at the bottom of the screen.

How to record a videomail

In the same account, you can call another phone user.

There will be a video greeting played by the person’s videomail if the call is routed to their videomail. In order to leave a videomail for the phone user, click or tap Record Videomail on the phone’s screen.
Notes:-
A recording of your voicemail will begin automatically after a five second wait if you do not choose any of the options.

There is also the option to record a regular voicemail for the phone user if you want to leave a regular audio message.

While you’re making the call, you won’t be able to leave a videomail if you’re currently in a Zoom meeting.
