Recording on iOS and Android in zoom App
The Zoom mobile app allows you to record meetings and webinars from your mobile device to the Zoom cloud. Recordings in the cloud can be viewed, shared, and downloaded from your Zoom account. Find out how to start a cloud recording.
Notes:
- iOS and Android devices cannot record locally.
- In order to record a meeting in the cloud on an iOS or Android device, you must be the meeting host.

- Licensed user
- Host or co-host permission for the meeting or webinar
Instructions
iOS
Record from your iOS device
- Tap More from your iOS device while hosting a Zoom meeting.
- Select Record to the Cloud.
Recording will now appear at the top of your screen. - Tap More to pause or stop recording.
- You can also stop recording by tapping the stop button.
On Zoom’s web portal, the recording will appear under Recordings after you have ended the meeting.
Android
Record from your Android device
- You can tap More from your Android device when you’re hosting a Zoom meeting.
- Then tap Record.
This will bring up the Recording tab at the top of the screen. - By tapping More again, you will be able to stop the recording.
- By tapping Pause again, you will be able to stop the recording.
If you end the meeting, the recording will begin to process and appear as part of the recordings on the Zoom web portal after it has been processed.
