Requesting a number port (EMEA) in zoom App
When you port a number from another carrier to Zoom Phone, the number can be used on your account without having to change it.
Notes:
- There are many countries in Europe and the United Kingdom that support the portability of local numbers.
- The EMEA countries do not support number portability of international numbers.
- Check out our list of common porting issues and questions so that you can find answers to any questions you may have during the process.
- It is also possible to request a toll-free number port (EMEA) from your current provider.
- Losing carriers do not break up DDI blocks of numbers, thus they should be ported in their entirety. In order to receive your full allocation of numbers, please speak with your current service provider.
-
LOAs should be signed either by hand or electronically using Adobe or DocuSign. Providing images of signatures is not acceptable and will result in a rejection of your LOA, delaying the processing of your port request.
Prerequisites
- An account owner or an administrator has the following privileges:
- Access to the Zoom Phone software
- as well as any recent phone bills or invoices
Requesting a number port
- Fill out the necessary Letter of Authorisation (LOA) from the respective country and download it and print it out.
- If you need assistance, be sure to look at the porting guidelines.
- In the event that you currently have POC or trial numbers that you wish to change after the port is completed, please complete the Number Swap form as soon as possible. The numbers that are swapped in and out will be the equivalent of the numbers that were swapped out.
- Send an email to numberportingemea@zoom.us. The following information should be included in your email:
- The subject line of your email must include:
- Hand-signed Letter of Authorization (LOA)
- An invoice containing the porting numbers invoice, dated within the last three months, should be attached to your recent telephone bill
- together with any other documents required by the country of porting
- Zoom will review the request and confirm that it has been received.
- If your losing provider does not validate the information on the LOA, then Zoom will send a request to your losing provider so that you can request a transfer. Zoom and the losing provider will work together in order to schedule the porting of the number if Zoom’s proposal is accepted. You will be able to manage the numbers directly through the Zoom website once they have been approved.
Guidelines
- The company requires a copy of the last three months’ telephone bill.
- You must provide information that exactly matches what is stored on record with your current provider.
- A letter of authorization must be hand-signed or wet-signed, and it must be dated within the last three months. Most EMEA countries do not accept legally binding agreements that are electronically signed.
- The name of the losing provider must appear on the LOA.
- It is important that the LOA is in EU date format (dd-mm-yyyy).
- It is generally accepted that the address specified on the letter of authorization must match the geographical area code of the telephone numbers being ported (excluding the UK).
- There needs to be a mention of all porting numbers on the body of the LOA rather than as attachments, unless an exception is given.
- Due to the fact that some countries do not allow the division of blocks of numbers, some of the DDI blocks may have to be ported in full. More information on the porting process can be found in the common questions about the process.
- Number portability checks can only be carried out once the order is submitted.
- The losing provider may notify you that the number is not portable.
- During the port activation window, you may experience some loss of incoming call service as the numbers are being transferred from the losing provider.
- A typical porting process can take up to 30 days. For more information, please see the lead times.

When requesting a number port, you should use the table below to download the LOA form and copy the required subject and body of the email. Please check if there are any other documents that are required in the country of porting.
