Requesting a toll-free number port (EMEA) in zoom App
Overview
By porting your toll-free number from another carrier to Zoom Phone, you can use it on your account.
Note: Here is a list of common porting issues and questions you might encounter during the process.
Prerequisites
- Ownership or administration of the account
- License for Zoom Phone
- And a copy of the latest invoice or bill from that account
Requesting a toll-free number port
- The required Letter of Authorization (LOA) must be downloaded and completed from the relevant country.
- You can find help here.
- We urge you to complete the Number Swap Sheet if you currently have a proof-of-concept (POC) or trial number which you would like to swap upon port completion. Swapping in numbers will be an exact replacement of swapping out numbers.
- If you wish to report a number, please contact us at numberportingemea@zoom.us. Ensure you include the following in your report:
- The subject line must include the following information:
- A completed and signed Letter of Authorization
- Your most recent telephone bill in relation to your porting numbers, which should have been dated between 3 months and 6 months ago
- In addition to any other documentation required in the country where you are porting
- Your account, Zoom reviews and confirms receipt of the request.
- As the transfer request is dependent on your losing provider, Zoom will send a request to it to verify the information on the LOA. The losing provider and Zoom will work together to schedule the porting of the number if it is accepted. You can manage the numbers in the Zoom web portal once they have been approved.
Guidelines
- Please provide a copy of your most recent telephone bill.
- You must provide your current provider with the same information they have on record.
- There must be a hand/wet signature and a date on the Letter of Agreement within the past three months. Most EMEA countries do not accept LOAs that are electronically signed.
- An LOA must contain the name of the losing provider.
- The letter of authority should contain a date format in the EU (dd-mm-yyyy).
- There are some countries in Europe where the address noted on the letter of authorization must match the country to which the numbers are being ported to. More information can be found by checking the porting guidelines.
- There should be a note in the LOA outlining all porting numbers rather than attaching them as an attachment.
- Some countries do not allow the splitting of DDI blocks/ranges of numbers. Therefore, it may be necessary for the porting of the entire number block in order to be successful. More information can be found in the frequently asked questions about porting.
- After your order is submitted, we will check the portability of your number. The losing provider may advise that the number cannot be transferred.
- While the porting number is being transferred away from the losing provider, there is a possibility that you may experience some interruptions to incoming calls during the porting activation period.
- This generally takes around 30 working days from when you submit the porting request. For more information, please refer to our lead times.
Requirements
You can download the LOA form by using this table. Other documentation required for the country of port can be found in the porting guidelines for that country.
Please raise one email per LOA / per country of port.

Porting In – Toll Free Numbers in Switzerland
The process of transferring Swiss Toll Free Numbers is a little different from the normal procedure, as you need to be the number holder in order to do this.
To ensure that Swiss phone numbers are assigned to you as the current holder of the number and not to your current service provider, it is imperative to ensure that any Toll Free numbers you intend to port are assigned to you as the current holder of the number, not to your current service provider.
Verifying Whether You’re the Current Holder
