Resetting to factory default (Poly) in zoom
In order to install custom firmware on your Polycom phone, follow the steps in this article.

How to access the phone’s web interface

All Polycom desk phones that are supported by these instructions should follow these instructions.

Default settings in Zoom Phone prevent provisioned devices from being able to access the web interface. It is very important that you enable Web Interface in the account-level desk phone settings if you are having difficulties accessing your phone’s web interface.

Select Settings from the Home screen of your phone by pressing the Home button.

Click on the Status tab and then on the Network tab.

Please make note of the phone’s IP address next to IPv4 Addr under the configuration section of TCP/IP Parameters.

You will need to open a web browser on a computer connected to the same network as your phone in order to perform this action.

Enter https:// followed by the phone’s IP address.
Note: You may see a security warning on your screen if your browser displays one. Click the OK button to proceed. -
The first thing you need to do is log into the web interface as an administrator.
Note: It is recommended that you change the default admin password to 456 or 789. If you don’t know your username or password, you should contact the vendor of the phone where you purchased it. In the Zoom web portal, if you have set the admin password globally, you will be able to view the password at any time.
How to reset to factory default using the web interface (recommended)

You will find the Utilities section in the top navigation menu, followed by Phone Backup & Restore.

The Global Settings section can be expanded by clicking on it.

Then click on the Restore button.

If you would like to confirm, click Yes.
How to reset to factory default using the phone’s interface (optional)
If you are unable to access the web interface of the phone, please follow the instructions in this section.

Press the Home button on your phone and then select Settings from the menu that appears.

You will need to navigate to Advanced and then Administration Settings in order to make changes.
Note: The administrator password will be prompted to be entered at this point. Contact your phone vendor for assistance if you are unable to remember the default password of 456. -
If you want to revert to factory settings, navigate to the Reset To Defaults option.

In order to complete the factory reset, press Yes on the keyboard. There will be an automatic restart of your phone.
How to upgrade firmware using the phone’s web interface

The UC Software Version can be found on the Home page. It is possible to skip this section if the phone has the supported firmware version.

The problem can be resolved by ensuring the Web Interface is enabled in the account-level desk phone settings if you are unable to access the phone’s web interface.

You can upgrade your software by selecting Utilities at the top of the navigation bar.

Select the Polycom Hosted Server option from the drop-down menu and click Check for Updates.
When you press the download button, you will get a message that says the version was successfully fetched. -
Please select the appropriate firmware version in the drop-down menu under Available software versions. It is very important that you do not choose a version that has a letter at the end of it.

Please click on the Install button. During the process of installing the firmware, the phone will be rebooted. It will take 2-3 minutes for the process to complete.
