Room Passcode for Zoom Rooms
Zoom Room Passcode is a required 1-16 digit numeric lock code that is required to maintain the privacy of Zoom Rooms. It is used to prevent users from changing the settings of the Zoom Room controller or closing the Zoom Room application on the computer.

How to edit the room passcode
Changing all Zoom Room Passcodes in the account is as follows:
- You must be an admin to edit your account settings in the Zoom web portal.
- You can access Zoom Rooms by clicking Room Management in the navigation panel.
- Scroll down to Rooms and click.
- From the Account page, click Save.
- From Room Passcode, scroll down.
- Edit the passcode by clicking the pencil icon.
- Then save it.
- Alternatively, you can choose to make this setting mandatory for all Zoom Rooms in your account by simply clicking the lock symbol and then clicking Lock after you confirm this.
It is possible to edit the Room Passcode for a specific Zoom Room within your account by following these steps:
- To edit account settings, sign in as an admin to the Zoom web portal.
- Click Zoom Rooms, then Room Management.
- You can edit the Zoom Room passcode by clicking the Rooms tab.
- Select Edit.
- Then click the Profile tab.
- Select the Room Passcode option under Basic.
- Edit the passcode by clicking the pencil icon.
- Click on Save.
How to view the room passcode
Passcode for viewing the room:
- You must be an administrator with account settings privileges to access the Zoom web portal.
- Click Room Management then Zoom Rooms in the navigation panel.
- Select the Zoom Room you wish to access under the Rooms tab.
- Click on Edit.
- Scroll down and select Room Profile.
- Look for Room Passcode under Basic.
- You can view the passcode by clicking on the eye icon.
How to use the room passcode
On your Zoom Rooms controller or computer, you must enter the room passcode when changing settings or signing out/exiting Zoom Rooms.
