Broadsoft Directory
The Broadsoft Directory provides you with easy access to the personal, group, and enterprise contacts in your organization, and allowing you to reach them more quickly by phone. A Broadsoft Directory is configured on your phone by your administrator. The extended services interface (XSI) feature of BroadSoft is used in this application feature.
Search for a Contact in Your BroadSoft Directory
Before you begin
There is a directory type that can be set according to your administrator on the web page for phone administration: Enterprise, Group, or Personal.
Do one of the following:

You can select Directories from the Applications menu by pressing 6821.

It is important to note that no. 6841 and no. 6851 refer to the Press Contacts.

Desk phones with model numbers 7800 and 8800: Press Contacts.

Press contacts for conference calls are listed below.
The BroadSoft directory should be selected.
There are a number of criteria that can be used to search.

A contact can be searched using Last Name, First Name, User ID, Number, Extension, Department, or Email address in BroadSoft Enterprise or Group directory.

A contact can be searched by Name or Number in BroadSoft Personal Directory.
Press Submit when you’ve entered your search criteria.
Browse Contacts (7800 Series and 7832)
Your corporate directory contains contacts you can browse.
Choose one of the following actions:

Contacts for the press on desk phones
-
Contacts for the press by conference phone.
Scroll through your contact list by pressing the up and down arrows on the navigation pad.
Browse Contacts (8800 Series)
Listed below are the tabs that allow you to browse your contacts:

Your corporate directory contains all your contacts
-
A favorite contact is one that you have designated as a favorite
-
Contacts you have recently contacted or who have contacted you recently
Contacts for the press.
You can cycle through the tabs using the left and right arrows.
Scroll through the available contacts by pressing the up and down arrows.
Call a Contact in Your Personal Address Book
Choose one of the following actions:

Select Directories from the Applications menu.

Press Contacts 6841 and 6851.

Desk phones 7800 and 8800: Press Contacts.

Press contacts: Conference phones.
Search for an entry in the Personal address book.
You can dial an entry from your personal address book by selecting it.
Call to the press.
Edit a Contact in Your Personal Address Book
Choose one of the following actions:

You can select Directories by pressing Applications in 6821.

Contacts for the press are in 6841 and 6851.

Press Contacts for the 7800 and 8800 desk phones.

Press contacts: Conference phones.
Search for an entry in the Personal address book.
You can change an entry by selecting it.
The Select key should be pressed.
Edit the document.
Information about the entry should be modified.
To modify a phone number, click Save.
