Select your preferred language audio channel in Webex meetings and webinars
You can choose to use the audio channel for your preferred language when you are attending a meeting or attending a webinar if the meeting or webinar has language interpreters so that you can better understand what is going on. Depending on what the meeting or webinar host assigns to the participants, the available languages will vary.
There is a Webex App available for Windows that provides simultaneous interpretation for meetings with up to 200 users. Participant who joins Webex Meetings are not subject to this limit.
Webex App has this feature available only for environments which have VDI desktop infrastructures (VDI).
Desktop, Web
- In order to be able to participate in this meeting or webinar, you must click Interpretation before joining.
- In the audio output, you can choose your preferred translation language or Original audio (floor), if you wish to listen to an audio file without translation.
- Using the sensitivity slider, you will be able to adjust the audio balance between the original audio and the interpreter.
- To join the meeting, click the Join meeting button.
Mobile
- The interpretation option can be found in the preview window.
- If you want to hear the audio without interpretation, please select your preferred language or the original audio (floor).
- Using the sensitivity slider, you will be able to adjust the audio balance between the original audio and the interpreter.
- In the preview window, return to the Join button and click it.
- During a meeting or webinar, you can change your language audio by selecting More > Interpretation, then selecting the language and level of audio balance that you would like to use.
